The night of thieves is a fantastic strategy and adventure board game set in Hadria, a port metropolis on the northern outskirts of a mighty empire. Each player becomes a master thief on the verge of committing the most daring heist of their career. During the game, players can use the unique abilities of their thieves as well as various action cards, which represent maneuvers, alchemical potions or complicated devices inspired by the visionary ideas of the inventors of the Renaissance. Players choose which cards to play, then use the available action points to plan the order of their activities. This makes the game very dynamic, with each resolved action greatly influencing the turn. The order of players dynamically changes based on the number of action points placed on each card chosen.
The object of the game is to get into the vault inside the Emperor's Palace and steal the Emperors' Jewel, the symbol of power very precious for the ruling dynasty. However, this is not the end, as the thieves must escape the city with their loot. It is no easy task - the streets are patrolled by vigilant city guards and seasoned captains familiar with all the criminal tricks. In addition, time flies for thieves - event cards introduced at each turn control the flow of the game, increasing its pace and the difficulty of the challenges to overcome.
