Codenames Duo keeps the basics of Codenames. Give a hint word to try to identify the agents present on the table. But now you are working as a team. As with Codenames, there are 25 word cards in a 5 x 5 card grid. Each player has a key card with his support and 9 words in green that he will have to make his teammate guess. The two players have 3 words in green in common. The assassin (in black) is in different places on each side of the map. Collectively you must find all 15 agents, without revealing the murderer or too many innocent bystanders in a limited time. One of the players chooses to give the other player a one-word hint as well as a number. Whoever receives the clue, must choose a card to identify the agent. If the answer is correct he can try to identify another one. If he reveals as many as the number indicated by the clue giver then they can replay. If they identify a passer-by, their turn ends. If they identify an assassin they've both lost!
